Whitehall Fire Provides Community Service Programs

The Whitehall Fire Prevention Bureau has two programs geared to assist the elderly and special needs population of Whitehall. The Knox Box Loan Program and the File of L.I.F.E. enable the fire department to better serve you. Knox Boxes provide the fire department rapid access to your residence in case of an emergency. The File of L.I.F.E. provides lifesaving information to EMS providers; the file speaks for you if you can't. PLEASE HELP US HELP YOU. Firefighter Testing

All Firefighter hires are at entry level from a ranked eligible list created through civil service testing. The next opportunity to apply and test for the position of firefighter is anticipated to be in 2009.

Welcome to the City of Whitehall Division of Fire's
web site. The City of Whitehall is an eastern suburb of the City of Columbus with
a residential population of 19,200 and encompasses a little over 5.2 square miles.
The Whitehall Division of Fire provides fire, rescue, and EMS services for both
the City of Whitehall and automatic response districts with the City of Columbus
and all of its suburbs. The Division of Fire had approximately 5,500 runs during
the 2001 calendar year. Of those runs, approximately 75% are emergency medical service
runs.
